Kelompok asal Bandung bernama MOBILDEREK yang telah merilis 3 album penuh ini menjelaskan soal nama MobilDerek. “Mobil” merujuk kepada energi kinetik dari mesin yang dikendalikan oleh manusia. Sementara “Derek” berarti menarik sesuatu yang dianggap rusak atau rapuh. Jadi MobilDerek bermakna suatu band yang menderek, atau meramu musik, sumber bunyi yang ada dan dianggap rusak kemudian dibentuk menjadi sesuatu yang baru, dengan dikemas dalam unsur digital menjadikan musik dengan energi kinetik mesin yang dikendalikan oleh manusia.

for everyone

Perkenalkan, kami adalah s.c.a.n.d.a.l. Sebuah subdivisi di bawah UNKL347 yang juga merupakan sebuah studio kecil multi disiplin yang bermain di berbagai wilayah kreatif antara lain print matter, desain, video, fotografi, dan juga eksebisi.

Terbitan Still Loving Youth ini adalah salah satu proyek utama kami yang terbit setiap tiga bulan sekali. Kami menyebut terbitan ini sebagai medium multi format yang pada setiap edisinya akan menampilkan dimensi, bentuk serta kolaborator yang berbeda.

Dalam terbitan Still Loving Youth, kolaborasi adalah kata kuncinya. Pintu kemungkinan untuk bekerjasama dengan berbagai kolaborator terbuka selebar-lebarnya. Baik itu dengan musisi atau komunitasnya, brand company, institusi, organisasi masyarakat ataupun lainnya, bahkan berkolaborasi dengan sesama media cetak sekalipun.


Dalam edisi perdana ini, kolaborator kami adalah tiga band yang terdiri dari Rock N Roll Mafia, Vincent Vega dan White Shoes and the Couples Company. Sebelum ini, ketiga band telah terlebih dulu bekerjasama dengan kami di bawah payung program bernama Crunkl Ensemble dimana ide awal program ini adalah menyatukan tiga band dari tiga genre musikal yang berbeda menjadi kesatuan kegiatan yang berkesinambungan.



Setelah beberapa kegiatan dari program Crunkl Ensemble yang sudah terlaksana dengan sukses, kini s.c.a.n.d.a.l bersama ketiga band melalui edisi perdana Still Loving Youth menghasilkan sebuah tema besar yaitu Past + Present + Future = You. Kata Past, Present, Future kami anggap bisa mewakili karakteristik dari ketiga band dan kata You mewakili siapapun pembaca Still Loving Youth.

Pada pengerjaan edisi ini, para personil ketiga band turut memberikan kontribusinya masing masing. Mereka turun tangan langsung dalam menulis, memotret ataupun mengerjakan berbagai tugas lainnya. Setiap personil bertutur mengenai diri mereka sendiri dalam banyak hal. Mulai dari pemikiran mereka, kisah perjalanan band, karakter fiksi favorit, mewawancarai tokoh panutan, hingga memberikan tips-tips kesehatan.


Selain itu, kerabat dekat tiga band juga turut menyumbangkan tulisan. Seperti sutradara video musik mereka ataupun seniman yang mengerjakan visual serta grafis album mereka. Tidak ketinggalan juga tulisan dari kawan yang juga menjadi ‘penggemar’ seperti model Izabel Jahja yang menyukai Rock N Roll Mafia, jurnalis Jason Tedjasukmana yang tertarik dengan Vincent Vega dan kritikus musik Denny Sakrie yang mencintai White Shoes & the Couples Company.

Kini terbitan perdana Still Loving Youth telah beredar dan siap untuk menyebarkan sekelumit warna, pemikiran dan cerita yang kami paparkan bersama ketiga band ini kepada Anda dengan penuh kerendahan hati. Terima kasih untuk meluangkan waktu bersama kami. Selamat membaca!

Mood Altering formed by 4 recovering addicts from Rumah Cemara rehabilitation center, whom one of them was the vocalist of an old school grunge band "the Waves". first line up of the band play music kind like a soundgarden etc. fisrt show was on Banceuy Prison, After 3 months played in small gig the band realized that they were sucks, MA change the bass player and then following by adding lead guitar and also changing the drummer. with a lot of help from other band like Godless symptomps, Komunal, Jeruji and underground community Now the new Mood Altering transformed into one of the newcomer metal band in the scene. a lot influence from southern metal, stoner rock and a little bit of old school metal. ABOUT 347

AFTER 13TH YEAR, NOW UNKL347 IS A 7-PART PROJECT THAT HOLDS NOT ONLY A CLOTHING LINE, BUT ALSO SKATEBOARDING UP TO INTERIOR HOUSEHOLD STUFF. FOUNDED BY ART SCHOOL MUSIC JUNKIE IN 1996, THESE REPRESENT TRADEMARK OF UNKL347 PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE, LIFESTYLE AND ATTITUDE.

Based on their love towards skateboarding, surfing and design, in 1996, these music junkies gathered and decide to create their own "Playground". They started by selling stuffs through special orders and catalogues, it didn't take long until they opened their own store in 1999. Shortly they became the pioneer of Indonesia's own label called 347boardrider.co with their initial designs that described about the way of life they were living. Back in the earlier days they had no one but themselves to please. They were making things that they want to wear and need to wear. Later on 347boardrider.co grown as its owners' life continued, music, nightlife, art, and with avant-garde nuance that made them where they are today. Then the name changed into "347".

A lot of things happen in between 2000-2005. I guess the same thing happens to you too, am I right? I mean, the "a lot of things" not the same thing "same thing" (do you get me?)

By the end of 2006, 347 evolved into UNKL347 and made a tagline of "After Ten Years, Friends Call Us Uncle" which tried to explain about what happened inside the company.

Sense, Design, Memories, Create, and Play. These five elements increasingly will guide our lives and shape our world. Organizing youth movements, innovating a new form of creativity, supporting any kind of sub-culture evolution. Good design, now more accessible and affordable than ever, also offers us a chance to bring pleasure, meaning, and beauty to our lives. But, the most important thing, cultivating a design sensibility can make our city a better place for us all.

Up until today, UNKL347 is still trying new things and smiling at the back of your head!
